Arsene led the Arsenal football club to league double in his first complete season a feat he soon achieved in 2001-02 season. His most important accomplishment in his career as Arsenal football manager was to win the league without losing a single match in the season of 2003-04, a feat last accomplished by Preston North End, 115 years previously. The team were promptly named as invincibles and awarded a golden replica of the league trophy.
